Photo Gear to Lug about
Obviously everyone's interests and budget vary but I thought it might be interesting to share, A bit nerdy but I do like to see kit lists
especially if there is some rational behind kit selection. so here goes your starter for 10...
Bag: Lowpro Nature trekker AW rucksack
(bit big for day trips but keeps everything together and is comfy)
For Day trips there a Lowpro Slingshot which is nice as you can swing it off your back to be in front of you (with out undoing the strap), take the camera out , shoot, return it to the bag and slide it onto your back and still carry spare nappies, and your sandwiches in the top
Update Er remarkably uncomfortable after a while... Making better use of a Crumpler Prettyboy XXL

- Lightstand Manfrotto nano 001b (this is Ace! to use and 80's phrase)
- Brolly Wescott double fold shoot through white satin umbrella (postage from USA sost as much as the brolly... this is expensive to use a
- Nikon SB28dx
- Nikon 80dx (has built in optical slave... so if you forget the triggers will trigger from the G10's onboard flash)
- Wireless Triggers Elinchrom skyports (stored in a small round plastic food container from Morrisons... which doubles as a 'bare bulb' style diffuser)
- Flash Gels bunch of lee flash gels, colour correction and theatrical as Joe McNally calls them
- Justin clamp; (Manfrotto 173)
- Superclamp Manfrotto
- Umbrella adaptor Manfrotto Lite Tite (kind of heavy for cycling but good go it's in)
- Lifeventure grey XXL travel towel (doubles as a cool background).. it's essential to take this out and air it first as subjects tend to doubt your level of professionalism if this appears 'used' in any way (always pays to know where your towel is ;-)
- ball bungies, Hamma cold shoe(s) Hamma mini ball head (screws to spigot if like me you bought the cheap version of the Justin clamp without one)
