Sulphur Tuft in the Dew
(Hypholoma Fasciculare)
At Last! I've been promising myself I'd get out in the autumn and start photographing fungi. It took some one in my department at work to organise a photography competition to get me out doing it so this is the first one, taken lying in wet grass in the early morning In fact I'd been visiting this wee bestie since spotting it in the afternoon two days earlier to get the best shot.

Day 1. Beautiful fresh fungi and blemish free...but midday sun left it looking a bit washed out.

Day 2. Early morning rays kiss with a warming light.

Day 3 (this shot) a fresh dew and early morning warm light.

Day 4. Oh joy a frost .. I couldn't wait to get there and shoot him (we are friends by now) every thing was perfect (although he's starting to show his age a bit) arrive... *ollocks! The mower man had visited, must be philosophical about this I got a good shot in
